Vigilance and Enforcement Department officials on Tuesday conducted raids on rice mills in Guntur district and seized paddy stocks worth Rs. 3.4 crore.

Four teams led by Regional Vigilance and Enforment Officer (RVEO) R.N. Ammi Reddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police P. Anil Babu, Circle Inspector Vamsidhar and Vigilance Tahsildar Srinivas Reddy raided rice mills at Narsaraopet, Tenali, Ponnur and Bapatla areas.

The vigilance authorities seized three mills at Tenali, one at Narasaropet and another at Ponnur for stock variations, poor record maintenance and other violations.
