In the wake of complaints pouring in continuously from the consumers of cooking gas stating that the subsidy amount was not being credited into their bank account even after completion of the Aadhaar seeding process, Joint Collector R. Mutyala Raju on Wednesday convened a review meeting with the officials of the civil supplies department and dealers of the gas companies.

The Joint Collector sought the list of consumers whose Aadhaar seeding was in pending and gave two days of time to the civil supplies officials. He asked them to shortlist the consumers whose details had been seeded with the gas companies but not with the banks, so that it would be easier to send the list to the bankers for the seeding process.

Stressing the need for inspections at the ground-level on the status of domestic cooking gas connections, Mr. Mutyala Raju said that special focus should be made on change of name and ‘Deepam’ connections. District supplies officer V. Ravi Kiran, district manager of the civil supplies department T.V.S.G. Kumar, representatives of different gas companies and dealers were present.
