HYDERABAD: Twin Cities Fare Meter Authorised Repairers Association on Wednesday night vowed that they would not help auto drivers to tamper existing mechanical meters at any cost.

A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting with the meter repairers and auto union leaders here, Association Treasurer Mohammed Afsar Ali said on Thursday. He said meter repairers were also demanding that the State Government continue mechanical meters and requested stern action against those tampering meters. Anti-Digital Meters Struggle Committee leader Mohammed Amanullah Khan said a campaign with a message `Correct meter and better service' would be launched soon.
