Flaying the district authorities for the closure of the Sulabh complexes in the town, the Lok Satta district unit and the Karimnagar Consumer Council members have demanded that the administration take all measures for the reopening of them.
In a press release here Wednesday, Lok Satta district president N. Srinivas, Karimnagar Consumer Council leaders K.C. Reddy, Prakash Holla, R. Chandra Prabhakar and others said that the authorities had closed the Sulabh complexes in front of the district court buildings a month ago and another in front of the district headquarters hospital a few days ago causing inconvenience to the people visiting the court and the hospital.
“It was unfortunate that the authorities have closed the facility without any valid reason and causing inconvenience to the people in general and women in particular,” they said.
They demanded that the government, which was encouraging the people to construct individual sanitary latrines for cleanliness, to take measures for reopening of all the Sulabh toilets and ensure proper sanitation in the town.
