CPI Chinagadili unit participated in relay hunger strike here on Monday in response to a State-wide call by 10 political parties, including the Left parties, in protest against the power tariff hike.

CPI leader Devarakonda Markandeyulu had a dig at the State government for failing to deliver goods on all fronts. The power tariff hike adversely affecting common man and the middle class is the most infamous decision of the government, he added.

CPI(M) P.Sankara Rao said the State government has imposed a burden of Rs.12,723 crore on the people through its power tariff hike.
