The TRS leader speaks in Telugu in support of her claim of being a local

The newly appointed in-charge of Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) party affairs in Khanapur Assembly constituency (ST), Ajmera Rekha Naik on Friday rubbished the talk of her being a ‘non-local’. She affirmed that she was born and educated in Hyderabad and lived in Khanapur mandal head quarter village.. Ms. Naik, who began familiarising herself with party cadres and grass roots level leaders in her constituency spoke in Telugu to buttress her claim of being a local. She asked them to refute such allegations being made by her opponents. The TRS leader, who is a former Congress party Zilla Parishad Territorial Constituency (ZPTC) member from Asifabad visited Utnoor and Indervelli mandals and interacted with partymen. She appealed to them to ignore any rumours about groupism and work unitedly towards achieving separate Telangana. Ms. Naik had recently joined the TRS vowing to fight for the cause of Telangana and is a strong contender for party nomination from Khanapur seat. Her crossing over to the TRS being the important political development in recent weeks, has attracted the attention of leaders from other parties.
