The VUDA Board approved the project following which work commenced recently. Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj visited the site on Wednesday.
The old complex had 50 shops in single floor. Designs were approved with Basement + Ground + 3 Floors for increasing the number of shops to 70 in the ground and first floors and additional office spaces in second and third floors in the new complex coming up on 1758.56 square metres of land with a cost of Rs.5.1 crore.
Chief Engineer I. Viswanatha Rao and Executive Engineer V. Bhavani Sankar accompanied the Vice-Chairman.
