VISAKHAPATNAM: Buoyed by initial response from the audience to ‘Billa’ – the Telugu version of Hindi super hit Big B-starrer ‘Don’, -- ‘rebel star’ U.V. Krishnam Raju is getting ready to hold success meetings at various theatres.

In an informal chat with reporters here on Sunday, he said his bold decision to revive Gopi Krishna Movies and produce Billa under its banner had turned into a big hit. He said his nephew Prabhas, who donned the hero’s role and supported by glamour girls Hansika, Anuska and Namita, had proved that he was a style icon for the youth.

Mr. Krishnam Raju said due to his pre-occupation in politics, he could not venture to shoot a film for a long time after hits like Tandra Papa Rayudu. He said Prabhas had acted very well drawing inspiration from Big B’s performance in Don and later Shah Rukh’s in Don 2 and Rajanikanth’s acting in a similar role in a Tamil film and NTR’s in a Telugu movie.

Stating that he had not compromised on quality and expenses, he said that for the sake of quality they had smashed a new car in a particular scene and made several shots in foreign locations. He said Billa was a mass movie because it had a big appeal for the youth. The picture had been shot keeping in view the acting skills of Prabhas, he pointed out.
