It is difficult for a tourist to visit a new city, cover all its significant places, historic monuments and relish the local cuisine. And it can be even more challenging for someone visiting Hyderabad for the first time because of its wide range of tourist hotspots, monuments and cuisine.

Despite public and private tour operators conducting tour packages in Hyderabad, there are chances that visitors could miss out on something worthy in Hyderabad during their visit. To make it convenient for such tourists, 34-year-old Raj Kishore has come up with a 15-minute documentary titled “10 things to do in Hyderabad”.

Essentially, the documentary guides a tourist to the best places to visit, dishes to eat, shopping areas etc in Hyderabad.

“It is mandatory for tourists to visit Begum Bazar, Golconda, Charminar, Necklace road, shop for pearls, bangles and relish biryani. Only then, they will be fully able to explore city’s rich culture. Not all operators conduct such trips.

This is reason why we shot the documentary,” explains Raj Kishore, who is pursuing post graduate course in Annapurna International School of Film and Media.

For first time visitors

“I made this documentary as part of my project for the PG course. I also wanted to educate first time visitors in Hyderabad,” says Mr. Kishore, who is the director, writer, editor of the film.

The documentary was shot on Canon 7D camera in four days and edited in five days. According to Mr. Kishore, the documentary has received good response.

‘20,000 hits’

“The film got 20,000 hits within a few weeks after it was uploaded in the YouTube and Facebook. This apart, a state tourism department and a private organisation approached me to do similar video for them,” he said
