Reserve Bank of India conducted a urban financial inclusion programme with the cooperation of State Bank of India with the aim of covering the neglected sections of society at the local Prema Aided High School here on Friday.

The bank has so far conducted 17 such programmes in the State.

Awareness had been created on identifying genuine bank notes, precautions to be taken before investing in deposit taking institutions and awareness campaign in respect of fictitious mails offering cheap money and banking ombudsmen scheme, among others.

Quiz for students

In the connection RBI conducted a quiz for students of classes 8t{+h}-10{+t}{+h}of Prema School.

Prizes were given away to 20 winners by RBI general manager in-charge D.Raja Gopala Rao.

He also handed over a gift of sports kit worth Rs.10,000 to the school.

Cheques worth Rs.1.65 crore were later given away to beneficiaries.
