‘Raja Gruha,' the new conference hall in the social welfare department, was inaugurated by district Collector M. Ravi Chandra here on Tuesday. He also unveiled 18-foot statue of Gautama Buddha that was carved out by the Joint Director of the department R. Mallikarjuna Rao and the statue of B.R. Ambedkar on the same premises.
Addressing the employees, Mr. Ravi Chandra congratulated Mr. Mallikarjuna Rao for carving out the statue of Gautama Buddha. He lauded the department for constructing the conference hall by making better use of available resources. He wanted the employees to adopt the latest technologies to improve their style of functioning, which would help them render better services to the public.
Mr. Mallikarjuna Rao said the conference hall was constructed with a capacity of 120 seats with all facilities.
