GUNTUR: The Indian Railways has proposed to construct two sub-ways below unmanned railway crossings at Nehru Nagar and Pattabhipuram. The sub-ways will be built below the railway tracks and significantly ease the traffic congestion. The project will be jointly executed by the Roads and Buildings Department of the State Government.

The two sub-ways were part of the nine sub-ways being constructed at various parts of the district.

In a latter sent to the Guntur Municipal Corporation, District Collector B. Venkatesham sought if there are any objections to the construction of the sub-ways in matters of drainage system and road width.
