A high-level meeting was held at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office here on Thursday in which Railway Police officials from Andhra and Odisha attended.

The delegates discussed about the extremist violence in the border areas of Andhra and Odisha, which was causing huge losses to railway property. Thefts in trains and the impact of strengthening of night beat on trains were also discussed. The main agenda of the meeting was exchange of Intelligence.

Inspector General of Police (Railways) Mahendra Pratap from Odisha, Railway SP (Rourkela) Daasaradhi Naik, Deputy SP s (Rayagada) U.N. Singh and V. Bhima Rao (Visakhapatnam), Inspectors G. Venugopal and K.V. Balakrishna, and Senior DSC of Railway Protection Force (Visakhapatnam) V.N. Gupta were among those who attended.
