GUNTUR: Bapatla Junior Civil Judge Sobha Rani on Tuesday granted conditional bail to all five students of College of Agricultural Engineering, Bapatla , who were suspects in the alleged ragging of Nadiminti Triveni, first year student.

Triveni had named five senior students in her complaint to the police - Sravanthi, Sowjanya, Vanitha, (all third year), Najma and Shalini (second year). The police had arrested four of them three days ago while Vanitha surrendered to the police on Monday. They were released from the Guntur jail on Tuesday.

The Judge has put condition that all the five students should come to the Bapatla court on every first Saturday of the month till a chargesheet was filed against them. College Principal P.V. Satyanarayana and some students came to Joint Collector Kanti Lal Dande’s office in the District Collector’s office complex on Tuesday to give their version.
