Lok Satta Party has alleged that the ruling party made the ongoing mass contact programme, Rachabanda, its poll plank rather than settling people’s problems. Party district secretary K. Dayanand Sarma in a statement on Tuesday said that the Congress revived the programme after two years with an eye on elections. The ruling party did not address people’s grievances during the last two years. Even now, the party constituted committees for recommending names of the eligible for welfare schemes.
The 46th round of National Library Week will be celebrated at the district library here from November 14.
