The Railways has introduced a new weekly superfast train between Puri and Valsad via Sambalpur City, Bilaspur, Bhopal and Surat.
According to the East Coast Railway officials, this was as per the announcement in the last Railway Budget.
The inaugural run of the train will be from Valsad and will run as a special train. It will leave Valsad at 3 p.m. on February 12 towards Puri. The regular service will commence from Puri on February 20 and from Valsad on February 24.
The train No. 12584 Puri-Valsad express will leave Puri at 5.25 a.m. every Sunday and arrive at Valsad at 7.50 p.m. every Monday.
In the return direction, train No. 12583 Valsad-Puri express will leave Valsad at 7.35 p.m. every Thursday and arrive at Puri at 10.35 a.m. every Saturday.
The train comprises one AC-2 tier, one AC-3 tier, eight sleeper classes, six general second class Coaches and two guard-cum-luggage vans.
