Sripathi Rajeshwar, former Minister better known as NTR Fans Association president once upon a time, is totally a forgotten name in politics now. But now he frequently figures in the conversations of journalists for a different reason. Journalists are now comparing him with a few Ministers in the State cabinet.
Rajeshwar, who was the Housing Minister in N.T. Rama Rao’s cabinet used to speak more about installing NTR’s statues across the State than constructing houses for the poor, the job which NTR entrusted him as a Minister. But a day would not pass without his statement on installing NTR statues. Senior journalists feel some Ministers in Rosaiah’s cabinet are reviving the thoughts of Rajeshwar through their statements on installing YSR’s statues or memorials. Perhaps they forget that their late leader would be more happy if they discharge their duties as Ministers properly and serve poor people than concentrating on his statues!
