VIZIANAGARAM: District Praja Rajyam Party president M. Geeta on Thursday called upon sarpanches, ward members and municipal councillors to adopt a resolution on unified State at meetings and submit reports to the Srikrishna panel.

At a press conference, Ms. Geeta said that the party had already made its stand clear on the statehood issue and there was no going back on it. She said that the newly-constituted district committee would meet shortly to reiterate its stand on the issue.

Later, she appointed T. Samba Murty and T. Suryanarayana Thatraj as vice-presidents, Kalla Gowri Shankar as general secretary and G. Appala Swamy as treasurer. Three official spokesmen and over 20 other office-bearers were also appointed.

‘Work hard'

She said that hard working party activists would be rewarded suitably by the State Committee. Mr. Gowri Shankar, Sk. Rahim and other leaders were present.
