Proud to be lodged in jail: G. Vivekanand

Peddapalli Congress MP G. Vivekanand said that he was proud to be lodged in jail for the cause of separate Telangana.

“I am happy to go to jail demanding the formation of separate Telangana State,” he told The Hindu on Sunday. The Peddapalli MP, along with Ramagundam legislator S. Satyanarayana was arrested at Ramagundam railway station. The MP was lodged in Godavarikhani two town police station on Saturday night. He secured bail on Sunday. He said he had not even entered the railway station premises, but the police registered a case under the Railway Act of 151 which states he had caused damages to railway property.
