A large group of Telangana supporters who stormed the APSRTC headquarters at ‘Bus Bhavan' scared away the employees during a hour-long demonstration inside the building on Wednesday.

It all started outside the bhavan when TRS MLA T. Harish Rao and other leaders of the party descended to address a dharna against the termination of 1,355 contract employees of RTC for participating in the general strike in support of separate Telangana.

Just then, news came that an auto driver Mallesh was killed in an accident at Jubilee Hills when a bus hired by RTC ran into his vehicle.

Congress MLA of Jubilee Hills P. Vishnuvardhan Reddy and his supporters also rushed to the bhavan. The MLAs demanded that the RTC managing director B. Prasada Rao come out and explain or else they would go inside.

The leaders and crowd that sneaked inside scared away the employees for defying the call for general strike and attending to duties.

The MLAs were involved in a heated argument with Mr. Prasada Rao separately demanding reinstatement of the terminated staff, job for someone in the family of Mallesh and stoppage of recruitment of RTC crew that was going on in five Telangana districts.
