‘There are several beautiful areas and waterfalls in Paderu and Chintapalli'

District Collector J. Syamala Rao on Thursday advised officials to chalk out plans for developing tourism sector in Paderu and Chintapalli of Visakha Agency region.

Reviewing tourism development in the district along with Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority Vice Chairman B. Sreedhar at the Collectorate, he pointed out that there were several beautiful natural scenery, water falls and other areas which could be of great interest to the tourists in Paderu and Chintapalli.

If they could be developed, tourism sector could prosper, he felt.

Mr. Syamala Rao also reviewed the tourism development at Thotlakonda and Bavikonda Buddhist sites and called for comprehensive plans on these projects. A detailed note should be prepared with respect to on the pending projects, he said and asked the officials to expedite work on the Desert Village project in Erramatti Dibbalu.

He also directed the officials to take the help of experts and prepare plans for the proposed cottages at Kailasagiri, Rajiv Memorial Building, and YSR Park, and sought reports for development of Kondakarla Ava near Aatchyutapuram, KD Peta, Matsyagundam, Etikoppaka toys, Panchadharla theertham, Uppaka, and Madhavadhara.

Additional Joint Collector S. Satyanarayana, District Revenue Officer DV Reddy, Visakhapatnam Revenue Divisional Officer K. Prabhakara Rao, Assitant Director of Archaelogy Chittibabu, Visakha Museum Curator Patrudu and others were present.
