An Associate Professor in Yogi Vemana University K. Krishna Reddy, who authored the theme song in the recent Sri Krishna Devarayulu Panchasatabdi Pattabhisheka Mahotsavam celebrations, has offered to bear the entire expenditure for constructing an additional classroom in the Government Girls Junior College in Kadapa in memory of his father Krishnareddigari Sriram Reddy.

District Collector, Shashi Bhushan Kumar, who laid the foundation stone for the classroom, lauded the professor's gesture and exhorted the girl students to study well . Mr. Shashi Bhushan Kumar told college principal A. Rajeswari, organising committee members A. Ramanjula Reddy and V. Nagamaheswara Reddy to discuss with Zilla Parishad CEO A.S. Venkataswamy and forward proposals for a classroom, laboratory and library and assured to secure requisite funds for their construction.

Dr. Krishna Reddy, who returned after working in Japan for 11 years and retiring as chief researcher, said he was inspired to donate funds, from his earnings abroad. . Dr. Krishna Reddy handed over an initial contribution by way of a cheque for Rs. 51,116 to the Collector.
