The Nalgonda District Children’s Rights Protection Forum (CRPF) on Thursday demanded an inquiry against the headmaster of the ZP High School at Appajipet for ‘severely’ beating a student, K. Ajaykumar, in class on Tuesday resulting in his hospitalisation.
The boy who sustained injuries on different parts of the body is undergoing treatment in the government hospital here.
B. Ravinder Kumar, CRPF Nalgonda mandal convener, who visited the hospital, said the headmaster had beaten four students for studying another subject, instead of biosciences, for the next day’s examination.
Mr. Kumar in a statement demanded steps by the district administration to initiate action to prevent recurrence of such incidents so as to instil confidence of parents and students themselves in the conditions prevailing in schools.
The Nalgonda Rural Police have registered a case against the headmaster following a complaint lodged by the student.
