The District Revenue Officer (DRO) Krishna Reddy has promised to solve the problem pertaining to the implementation of Girl Child Protection Scheme (GCPS) in Deshrajpalli village of Ramadugu mandal in Karimnagar district within 15 days.

Responding to a news item “Couple alleges irregularities in GCPS” published in these columns on Saturday, the DRO said that they had instructed the Karimnagar RDO Sandhya Rani and ICDS Project Director Ramulu to inquire into the GCPS irregularities in the village and take appropriate action against the persons concerned. He said that they would definitely look into the matter concerned about the welfare of two girl children of Edama Srinivas Reddy and Bhagyalaxmi.

The officials have also counselled the couple to end their agitation. The officials have promised to admit the two girl children in the Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalayam (KGBV) School to provide complete education. Following the assurance, the couple had ended their fast and returned to their village Deshrajpalli.
