Taking cue from the success of Abacus training given to government school teachers by the district administration during the last academic year, the Telangana Recognised Schools Management Association (TRSMA), Karimnagar district unit, has decided to impart the Abacus training to private school teachers also.
The TRSMA district unit has decided to impart special training to teachers of mathematics and others interested in the subject in private schools at Valmiki High School here from April 21 to 25. Disclosing this to newsmen here on Saturday, TRSMA district president Y. Shekhar Rao, general secretary Ramachandra Reddy, and Abacus trainer A. Gangadhar said that they would also distribute Abacus study material and books free of cost to the private teachers attending the training programme. They said that they had decided to provide special Abacus training to the private school teachers to compete with the government schools in the mathematics education.
They said that the Abacus training was aimed at removing the phobia of maths among teachers and help them teach the subject with ease.
