HYDERABAD: All India Radio has embarked upon an ambitious project of digitising its programmes of the past 60 years. Programmes recorded over the years in analogous mode will be converted into the digital mode under this project.

The programme was launched by M. Siva Kumar, Member (Personnel), Prasar Bharati. The content includes programmes of great artistes including devotional music, ‘harikathas', ‘burrakathas', dramas and light music.


Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Siva Kumar said that Prasar Bharati aimed at preserving the rich cultural heritage of the country and speeches of eminent personalities, Vedic recitations, light and folk music and similar materials.
