TDP leaders led by district president Prathipati Pulla Rao are setting out on a week-long ‘Prajahita padayatra’ from Mellavagu village here on Friday to highlight the problems being faced by people and thereby exert pressure on the Government to mend its ways.

It will be inaugurated by party Politburo member Yanamala Ramakrishnudu and Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy.

The party leaders will cover Bollapalli, Karampudi, Muppalla, Rajupalem, Sattenapalli, Medikondur and Guntur rural mandals spanning 120 kilometres.

Releasing the posters of the programme on Thursday, Mr. Pulla Rao said failures of the Government would be exposed and confidence created in the people that they could rely on TDP for good governance.

The district was replete with problems in the agriculture, power and many other sectors but nothing was done to alleviate suffering of the aggrieved sections.

The party cadres should harp on the harmful consequences of electing Congress or YSR Congress in the 2014 elections, Mr. Pulla Rao asserted.
