Minister J. Ratnakara Rao participates
Programme also held in naxalite supremo’s village
‘Indiramma houses for all poor in the district’
KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Endowments J. Ratnakara Rao participated in the ‘Praja Patham’ programme in the Maoists supremo Ganapathi alias Muppala Laxman Rao’s native village of Bheerpur village and other naxalite-affected villages in Sarangapur mandal along the shores of river Godavari on Thursday.
The Minister inaugurated CC road constructed at a cost of Rs. 2 lakh in Bheerpur village and drinking water tank in Potharam village and laid foundation stone for the construction of culvert, bathing ghats and rooms at the burial ground in Rechapalli village at cost of Rs. 30.10 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ratnakara Rao said that the government would sanction Indiramma houses to all the eligible poor people in the district. He also said that they would sanction pensions and white ration cards to all eligible persons.
He said that they would not force any student to study in English as the medium of instruction and only interested students could study the CBSE syllabus.
The Minister also participated in the Sarangapur mandal parishad general body meeting. District grandhalaya samstha chairman K Malla Reddy, RDO Venkateshwarlu and others were also present.
