The Praja Rajyam has demanded that the State government grant an ex gratia Rs. 5 lakh to the kin of each of those killed in the heavy rains that lashed several parts of the State recently, apart from sanctioning Rs. 4,500 per acre as compensation to those who lost their crop.

A delegation led by party president K. Chiranjeevi called on Chief Minister K. Rosaiah on Thursday and submitted a memorandum. He was accompanied by party leaders C. Ramachandraiah and K. Vidyadhar Rao.
