The prospect of coughing up more from this February on power utility bills is giving everybody sleepless nights in the Capital.

The double whammy is set to impact all in the twin cities. The authorities have increased the power tariff and also decided to collect Fuel Surcharge Adjustment (FSA) from this February.

This means that on an average, each household will have to pay an additional Rs. 500 to Rs. 600 towards power bills every month. The revised power charges will hit the middle class more because their monthly budgetary expenditure is always on the tight leash. The price hike is set to have a big impact on the general public in twin cities. In addition to worrying about the rising fuel prices and costly home loans, now public have to worry about costly electricity.
