VISAKHAPATNAM: Zilla Parishad chairman Gorle Ramamurthy Naidu on Tuesday directed officials to inform various developmental works to people’s representatives without any delay.
At the meeting of Standing Committees 1 and 7, Pendurthy MLA T. Gurumurthy Reddy alleged that the progress of several works taken up by the Roads and Buildings Department was not informed to him.
Officials told Mr Gurumurthy Reddy that the progress would be conveyed to him by Thursday.
When the chairman pulled up officials of Electricity and Rural Water Supply departments for not energising a water supply scheme at Komaravolu in Rolugunta mandal, they said the problem would be solved in two days.
Under paramedical recruitment, 43 auxiliary nurse-midwife (ANM) posts were filled and chlorination and bleaching of water was done and sanitation being maintained to prevent the spread of infectious diseases, District Medical and Health Officer J. Sarojini told the Standing Committees 2 and 4 meeting held with Mr. Naidu in the chair.
