T. Ratnabai, Rajaya Sabha member, has expressed displeasure over the decline in attendance in Ashram schools in agency area. While speaking to mandal education officers, tribal welfare officials in Rampachodvaram on Thursday, she asked them to improve monitoring system by implementing Quest and Punadi programmes.
She said that during her recent visits to the above schools she found lack of attendance and there was a sudden increase in dropouts. She advised officials to use technology for improving monitoring system like sending SMS.
Ms. Ratnabai suggested that teachers take the responsibility of those children, who had gone on festival vacations and take all the precautions for keeping good health of all Ashram school students. She said Tribal Welfare department had designed different programmes for improvement of pass percentage.
