Rajahmundry: Rajahmundry police solved a murder case within 10 days and the accused was produced at a press conference on Monday. Speaking to press persons DSP S. Saibaba explained the modus operandi of P.K. Narayanan, a pan shop owner’s murder near Kambala Tank centre. The accused Kadimsetty Yedukondalu Cotton Reddy (19) confessed the murder, who is son of Ratnakumari staying in the same building of pan shop and running a mess.

According to DSP, Narayanan was running a pan shop besides Municipal vegetable market and Andhra Bank ATM centre. He was having disputes with the owner of the building Bollina Sivaramakrishna and used to quarrel daily with mess owner Ratnakumari.

Many a time building owner Sivaramakrishna, mess owner Ratnakumari warned Narayanan.

On the day of Vijayadasami, Narayanan came to Ratnakumari’s house and abused her in front of her son.

Annoyed with this, Ratnakumari, building owner Sivaramakrishna and Cotton Reddy hatched a plan to kill Narayanan.

On the same night, Reddy knowing well about Narayanan’s habit of drinking waited up to 11.30 p.m. near hi-tech bus stopand hacked him to death.
