The strength police personnel in newly created Urban set up has increased from 790 to 1,900 and the new office complex will come up at old Azam Jahi Mills grounds here, said Director General of Police K. Aravinda Rao.

The DGP visited Warangal district to take stock of the situation here on Sunday.

He held meeting with the officials of both Urban and Rural wings and discussed what sort of coordination should exist between the two set ups for effective policing.

Mr Aravinda Rao said the Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has sanctioned 27 acres of land and soon the new office complex would come up at old Azam Jahi Mills ground.

Expressing happiness over the general law and order situation, the DGP said they discussed about the emerging situations in December when the separate Telangana movement is expected to get intensified.
