Two HSBC employees were arrested after they allegedly assaulted an I.P.S. officer, M. Srinivas, when he raised objection over them honking. According to Jubilee Hills police, the police officer was heading towards Jubilee Hills from KBR Park in his car when the incident occurred on Friday night. The duo travelling in another car behind his vehicle honked at the traffic signal point near NTR Trust building.

Taking exception to blowing the horn even as the red light was on, Mr. Srinivas told them to be patient and moved along. “The two persons followed his vehicle and picked up a quarrel with him when he reached Jubilee Hills check-post. They assaulted him and tore his shirt,” the police said.

Based on the police officer’s complaint, the Jubilee Hills police arrested them after registering a criminal case.
