Police outpost postponed

VISAKHAPATNAM: There will be diversion of traffic in Old Town area from Thursday in view of the annual Margasira Masotsavam of goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi. The diversion will be in force on Thursdays (Nov 23 and 30 and December 7 and 14) during the month-long festival, according to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) P. Viswa Prasad. The diversion will be from the early hours of Thursday till the midnight of Friday. All vehicles, including RTC buses, going towards Old Head Post Office junction would have to take right turn at Town Kotha Road junction and proceed via Nellore Mess, Lakshmi Talkies and Victoria statue. Devotees going to the temple of goddess Kanaka Mahalakshmi would have to park their vehicles on the road margin between Town Kotha Road and Sea Horse junction. Vehicles would not be allowed to go to the temple via the Ghosha Hosptial (Victoria Government Hospital) or the Shirdi Sai temple road.
