HYDERABAD: Senior officers of Police Department under the Chairmanship of Director General of Police SSP Yadav expressed their profound grief over untimely demise of former Chief Minister Y.S.Rajasekhara Reddy. At a meeting held on Saturday, they condoled the death of Addanki Solomon Carey Wesley, Chief Security Officer (CSO).

In a condolence resolution, they said the late CM was instrumental in catapulting the Police Department to higher levels of professional excellence, service delivery and justice delivery. “He was instrumental in containing Left wing extremist activities by adopting pro-people policies and viewing naxal problem as socio-economic problem,” the resolution said adding the State was free from communal, naxal and faction violence due to the constant pro-people policies. They also said he sanctioned increase in strength of police force to improve the quality of service provided by the Police.

The condolence resolution said Wesley, CSO was an officer known for his determination in bringing the offenders of all hues to justice and an office who loved his uniform and valued the police service. “He was a source of inspiration for the family and friends and a role model for several of his colleagues,” it read. Terming his loss as a great loss to the police department, they said they had lost their own brother.
