Denies charge levelled by BJP leaders
No bias in police action, asserts SPPickets posted at all sensitive spots
NIZAMABAD: Superintendent of Police Mahesh Chandra Laddha said on Monday that the police did not spare anyone who was involved in communal riots and cases were booked against only those who were found guilty of violence.
Refuting the charges of the BJP leaders that the police were biased and framed cases only against a particular section of people, he said all the accused were arrested and no one was allowed to go scot-free. All the miscreants were identified, some of them were already arrested and efforts were on to arrest the remaining, he added.
In a press release he said the police could bring the situation under control soon after the eruption of violence. Police pickets were posted at all sensitive areas and places of worship. .
