KURNOOL: CPI(M) district secretary T. Shadrak urged the authorities to regulate fee structure in private junior colleges. In a statement, Mr. Shadrak said the Education Department had no control over the corporate colleges, which collect fee at their will. The authorities were being misled by the colleges claiming that the poor were given concessions.
He said only merit students get fee concession to attract the talent and improve their image. Mr. Shadrak threatened to launch an agitation if the administration remain insensitive to the problem. -Special Correspondent
