HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of A.P. High Court comprising of Justice Meena Kumari and Justice N. Ramamohan Rao on Thursday admitted the writ petition complaining that in the name of on going works for Outer Ring Road (ORR), gravel was being dug in hundreds of acres of assigned lands in Dundigal, Qutubullahpur Mandal, Ranga Reddy District.
The writ petition was field by Vijaya Gopal Rao, a local advocate and leader of CITU, who alleged that Gayatri Constructions, KNR Constructions and GVR Infra had taken up digging of gravel in 450 acres causing huge pits.
SHRC order stayed
A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Nissar Ahmmad Kakru and Justice P.V. Sanjay Kumar stayed the operation of the orders of the State Human Rights Commission regarding the compassionate appointment by Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL).
One Mr. Yadaiah approached the SHRC saying that his elder son died in 2003 while he was working with the power board. In an application to the authorities in 2008 stating that as his eldest son died in harness and his second son should be given the job. He approached SHRC in 2009 which directed the authorities to provide employment. The NPDCL filed writ petition challenging the same.
