To make the hill-top Kailasagiri park more eco-friendly, VUDA Vice-Chairman N. Yuvaraj has proposed ‘Visitors Plantation Zones’ where visitors can plant a sapling.

Reviewing the greenery development taken up by the forestry wing on Thursday, he directed the DFO B.V.A. Krishna Murthy to earmark plantation zones on Kailasagiri. VUDA will provide saplings and assistance to plant them.

The feasibility of introducing adventure activities like trekking, para-gliding, and rock climbing, among other things, should also be explored.

Dr. Yuvaraj asked the electrical engineer to evolve a system so that visitors could complain against lapses in lighting at Kailasagiri and VUDA Park.
