A total of 645 candidates have been short-listed for the physical tests at the second day of Army recruitment rally for the recruitment of Soldier (Nursing) at Ambedkar stadium in Karimnagar town on Saturday.
Against a total of 1,227 candidates who attended the recruitment rally, 411 were rejected at the height-bar, and 171 candidates were rejected after the scrutiny of the documents. The 645 shortlisted candidates will take the physical fitness tests which would be held on Sunday.
Meanwhile, of the 1,380 candidates who have been shortlisted for the physical fitness tests for recruitment of Soldier (technical), 1,009 candidates have been disqualified in the running competitions. Out of 371 qualified in the running, 16 have been rejected at pull-ups, four rejected at the height check, 75 at the chest expansion, under-weight five candidates rejected and one candidate was rejected for tattoo. A total of 270 have been qualified for the medical examinations for the soldier (technical).
Karimnagar legislator Gangula Kamalakar visited the Army Recruitment Rally venue and distributed food packets to the candidates. Similarly, the local businessmen Arvind Vyas and Venkateshwara Rao distributed water packets to the candidates. The businessmen had promised to distribute water packets till the completion of recruitment rally on October 19. Karimnagar RDO Sandhya Rani and others were also present.
