The three-day 26th edition of the national photography convention conducted by the Federation of Indian Photography (FIP), in association with Greenzone, concluded here on Thursday.

The convention helped the participants, who had come from different parts of the country, to learn the techniques in the art of photography.

Distinguished photographers shared their experiences, making the convention lively.

They touched up various topics such as developments in chip technology, accuracy, timing, and latest cameras.

At the governing body meeting of the FIP held on Wednesday, members discussed issues such as inauguration of the federation’s website, list of photo shoots, and international circuits planned for next year.

Election was conducted to elect new board of members. The new office-bearers elected were: Anil Risal Singh (president), B.K. Sinha (secretary general), Amitabha Sil (treasurer), and Ramji Vyas, Prabhu Podipireddy, C.R. Satyanaraya, and Vinay Parlekar (Working Committee members).

Mr. Prabhu said, “With induction of new members, the standard of Indian art photography will be taken to better heights on the international arena.”

A cruise is planned on Friday and Saturday to the picturesque Papi Hills, where both the participants and faculty members would get a rare opportunity to apply their skills.
