The richness of the Telugu language and literature was on display at the ‘Telugu Vaibhava Pradarsana’ organised at Sri Venkateswara Vignana Mandiram here on Thursday in the run-up to the World Telugu Conference scheduled to be held in Tirupati later this month.

Visitors had a glimpse of extracts of ancient scripts, photos of eminent personalities whose contributions to the language enhanced its quality and pride, and literary works of famous authors.

The photos of famous poets and writers have particularly drawn sizable crowds comprising mostly schoolchildren.

Inscriptions and extracts of Telugu scripts dating back to the reigns of various dynasties were presented in a lucid manner.

Inaugurating the exhibition, Guntur (East) MLA Sk. Mastan Vali said the event gave a glimpse of the great literary personalities who enriched the language and culture by making valuable contributions. It was good to see photos of famous poets and writers many of whom might not be known to the present generations.
