HYDERABAD: Some of the rarest postage stamps, coins and currency notes of different countries will be on display at the Philatelic and Numismatics Exhibition being organised jointly by the FAPCCI, Department of Posts and the Hyderabad Philatelic & Hobbies Society from January 20 to 22 at the FAPCCI House.

The three-day exhibition will showcase rare Indian and Hyderabad State stamps. The exhibits in both the philatelic and numismatics categories will be divided into four groups invitees, seniors, juniors and institutions. A panel of jury consisting of leading philatelists and numismatists will decide on the prizes.

A seminar on philately will also be conducted on the first day at 12.30 p.m. A.N. Medhora, a senior philatelist, will make a presentation on `Stamp papers of Hyderabad' at the seminar. A special cover and cancellation will also be released. Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy will be the chief guest. The exhibition will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and admission is free.
