The faith people have in him distinguishes Puttaparthi Sri Sathya Sai Baba from others and the welfare and service programmes initiated by him should be continued after the nationalising properties of the Sathya Sai Trust, Jana Vignana Vedika State secretary Jampa Krishna Kishore has said.
In a statement here on Tuesday Mr Kishore said the people did not lose faith in Sathya Sai Baba even after atheists and rationalists performed all the miracles that he performed. This unshakeable faith the people reposed in him made him special.
Sai Baba proved to the world that service to humanity was service to God. Sai Baba's ideals were providing food, health and shelter to all. He also said education was the ‘Third Eye' and opened several educational institutions.
Several devotees gave away their valuable properties to Sai Baba to display their devotion. They had the confidence that these properties would be of use to the weak and the underprivileged. The continuation of the various welfare schemes initiated by Sai Baba was mandatory, he said.
