People from all walks of life on Wednesday called on Rajya Sabha Member K.V.P. Ramachandra Rao, whose mother passed away at Ampapuram 30 km from here on Tuesday.
Controversial Telugu Desam leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi, who is in Bhavani Deeksha, called on Mr. Rao to offer condolences. District Collector Budhaprakash M. Jyothi, Vijayawada Commissioner of Police N. Madhusudhana Reddy and a few other officials called on the MP.
Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy, who called on Mr Rao, in a chat with media persons at the State Guest House here said that party leaders selected by the high command would attend the all party meeting on the Telangana issue to be held in Delhi on December 28.
She hoped it would be the last meeting on the issue. She said steps were being taken on reduce the amount of stress of the police personnel while maintaining law and order. She said training would be imparted to 40,000 personnel in this regard.
