Social Welfare and Nellore district in-charge Minister Peetani Satyanarayana praised the MLAs who had submitted their resignations in support of Kadapa MP Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy.

Addressing a public meeting at Venkannapalem village in Kota mandal in the district on Tuesday, he said that at least now the MLAs realised that they were elected under the Congress banner (hastam) and had resigned from their posts.

But, there is no threat for government in the State and Congress party is in a stable position, he said.

The Congress party never damaged the name of late Y. S. Rajashekara Reddy and will never allow anyone to malign the name of the great leader in future, he said. But, it is the YSR Congress party which was damaging the reputation of Dr. Rajashekara Reddy by launching a separate party.

“We gave all respect to Y. S. Rajashekara Reddy's son, Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy. I was also one of the people who signed asking him to be made as Chief Minister. But, now he is spoiling the name of Congress party and his father,” he said.

The Congress party had not halted any welfare schemes after the death of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy and the party has great respect for him.

The YSR Congress president should co-operate with the CBI for enquiry, said the Minister.

Congress govt. did not lodge complaint against Jagan, says Satyanarayana
