Two similar road accidents involving scooters sees helmet user survive

VISAKHAPATNAM: S. Srinivas Prasad Rao,42, working as deputy manager of SBI died on Tuesday evening after colliding with a cyclist. According to the Three Town Police, Mr. Rao was driving a Honda Activa and was travelling from the Siripuram side to China Waltair when he dashed the cyclist near the old CBI office. While both were knocked down, Rao's head hit the road divider. He was not wearing a helmet and died after admission in a hospital. The cyclist escaped with minor injuries. There was a similar accident near the GCC office but the scooterist was saved as he was wearing a helmet.
