VISAKHAPATNAM: Film actor Pavan Kalyan will appear in the Family Court here on Thursday in connection with two cases filed by him and his estranged wife Nandini against each other.

While Pavan Kalyan has filed a petition seeking nullification of his marriage with Nandini, daughter of a city-based businessman, she sought Rs.5 lakhs a month for her maintenance in a separate petition. She also moved another petition charging Pavan Kalyan with marrying actress Renu Desai without seeking divorce from her.

After the sensational bigamy and harassment charge by Nandini, Pavan Kalyan through his advocates Nagesh Reddy and Kusuma Sri submitted a petition in the family court seeking divorce from his wife.

He also denied the bigamy charge. He had stated in the petition that Nandini had subjected him to harassment and rejected his pleas to stay together.

Family Court Judge L.D. Prasad on Wednesday adjourned the hearing on the maintenance case to Thursday.

The High Court gave direction to the Family Court to conduct the proceedings in the maintenance case in-camera accepting the plea of Pavan Kalyan.

B. Satyanarayana, advocate for Nandini, said the filing of divorce petition after they charged Pavan Kalyan with marrying Renu Desai without obtaining divorce from his first wife.
